Errors with SharePoint Foundation

Seems that some of the administrative pages do not work on SharePoint 2010 Foundation, is there a specific version or do we just need to clean it up?

Thanks for posting your issue.

Are their specific admin pages that are not working for you? Are you able to provide any of the error messages you are getting? What version of the starter kit and visual studio are you using?

I've tested this on SharePoint Foundation 2010, which should be a completely supported version for this project, so I'd love to get more information and resolve any issues.

Thanks for the quick reply sorry I have not gotten the chance to post the errors I will try to do that in a few. I will get the exact error but a couple of things off of the top of my head are

Create service page throws an error on the Microsoft.SharePoint Portal controls so I had to rework that page a little removing those references and the InputForm tag. I believe the issue is also on the manage service page.

Also there were some properties missing from the properties file that the pages are missing I added them I will get you a list of them. I'm using the 2010 templates #2 non restful with the database. The WCF templates.

So I'm using the 2010 templates version last updated 2/8/2013 from the visual studio gallery.

Specific error when I create and try to use a new WCF /w Database template

1) ManageService.aspx

Parser Error Message: The resource object with key 'ManageServiceInstanceStatusAlternateText' was not found. Fixed this by adding key to Properties Files in AdminResources Folder

2) ServiceApplications.aspx

Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SharePoint.Portal, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Fixed this by removing these tags:

<%@ Assembly Name="Microsoft.SharePoint.Portal, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c" %>

<%@ Register Tagprefix="SPSWC" Namespace="Microsoft.SharePoint.Portal.WebControls" Assembly="Microsoft.SharePoint.Portal, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c" %>

<SPSWC:InputForm runat="server" ></SPSWC:InputForm>

These tags are also on the Properties.aspx page so I edited this page as well.

Thanks for all of your help this template is going to save me a lot of time going forward.
